Klondike III and IIIa Wind Power Projects
Iberdrola Renewables' expanding Klondike Wind Power Projects, located in the wheat fields of Sherman County, Oregon, now totals 400 megawatts (MW) and generates enough electricity to power more than 115,000 homes. The power from Klondike goes to customers all along the West Coast to meet increasing demand for clean, renewable energy and to help cope with fuel price volatility. The Klondike Wind Power Projects also provide lease payments to landowners, property taxes to the county and jobs. A total of 18 workers maintain and operate Klondike I, II, III and IIIa.
