Lempster Wind Power Project

The Lempster Wind Power Project is New Hampshire's first modern, commercial-scale wind farm. The project is a 24 megawatt (MW) wind farm that came online in November of 2008.

Located on privately owned land near the Town of Lempster in Sullivan County, the project features 12 Gamesa wind turbines along a ridgeline in the southwest of the state. Home to one of the most wind-rich areas of New Hampshire, the project is expected to produce enough clean, renewable energy to power approximately 10,000 New Hampshire homes. Visit the town's wind-farm kiosk to learn more.

Public Service of New Hampshire (PSNH) will purchase the entire electricity output of the project, and is working with the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative as the local Lempster service provider.
