Deerfield Wind

Iberdrola Renewables, Inc. is proposing Deerfield Wind, a wind project near the existing Searsburg Wind Energy Facility, onto adjacent U.S. Forest Service land in the towns of Readsboro and Searsburg. The project is proposing to construct up to 15 new wind turbines, which will result in 30 MW of new capacity. This will produce enough energy to power over 14,000 average Vermont households. It is expected that this project will be able to utilize some existing Searsburg facility infrastructure, such as roads.
